Shillong College UG Admission Guidelines 2025
The following are the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for admission into UG program in Shillong College as per UGC and NEHU admission guidelines 2025:
- To understand the admission criteria, fee structure, and course options, applicants, parents, and guardians are strongly encouraged to refer to the Shillong College prospectus 2025 before proceeding with registration. The prospectus is available in the College website https://shillongcollege.ac.in
- Applicants must tick in the column provided: CUET registered or not registered.
- Once the HSSLC results are declared, the next step for applicants is to log in with their User ID and password and upload their marksheet. Uploading your marksheet DOES NOT guarantee admission in the college.
- After the CUET UG 2025 results are declared, applicants will need to log in again with their original User ID and password to upload their CUET score.
ROUND 1
- The first round of admissions will be based on CUET scores, and offered to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Mere appearance in CUET will not guarantee admission unless the candidate has registered for his/her domain(specific) subject.
- Candidates must have passed Class XII (12th Grade) in the relevant stream from a recognised Board in India or an equivalent examination recognised by the University.
- State Government Reservation Policy shall apply as affiliated colleges are run/aided/recognised by State Government.
- At the end of Round 1, college will notify the list of students admitted based on CUET scores.
ROUND 2
- Subject to the availability of vacant seats, the admission window for non-CUET candidates will open five (5) days subsequent to the announcement of the list of candidates admitted based on CUET scores.
- Preference will be given to students who appeared in the CUET UG-2025 irrespective of domain subject papers in which they appeared.
- If vacancies still exist, the college will admit non-CUET students based on their CLASS XII results.
Note: Verification of original documents will be done in the respective departments after the admission process.
